Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuro-musculoskeletal system using a manual approach.  Your Doctor of Chiropractic will perform an initial evaluation and physical exam, discuss treatment options (spinal and extremity manipulation, soft tissue treatment, exercise and rehabilitation, nutrition, and more), and then tailor a program best suited to you.  Chiropractors in Illinois are primary care physicians, and well-suited to diagnosing the cause of your pain, and providing you with all of the tools to heal.

What is Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic doctors practice natural, drugless, non-invasive health care that optimizes the body’s ability to heal.

Like other health-care providers, a detailed history will be taken, followed by a physical examination, and collection of other pertinent details (X-rays, MRI-s, Labs).  We will also ask you about your life— Do you eat well? Exercise at all? How do you deal with stress? Do you have children? What do you do for work? And so on.

We seek the origin of the problem

Using this information, a diagnosis is made.  It is important to note that chiropractors seek the origin of the illness in order to eliminate it-we do not simply treat the symptoms.  If your roof is leaking, do you simply catch the drips in a bucket for years on end, or do you repair the roof to prevent it from leaking?  Through exercise, chiropractic manipulation, manual soft tissue therapies, and behavior changes (including your diet, posture, daily environment, and social activities), we will help you learn to "fix your own roof" and prevent future flare ups and injuries.
